About the Author

Ava Lee DeVere, a consummate storyteller, has won awards in different genres under other pen names, including the Claymore Award for Cozy Mystery and the Natasha Trethewey Poetry Award .  An entrepreneur, a poet, a former educator, and decorative arts appraiser, Ms. DeVere brings her myriad experiences into the tapestry of her writing. Her work speaks to the intimacies of small town life, the exotic within the everyday, and hometown hospitalities. She intertwines the secrets, scandals, and truths within families to create tapestries of village life. Her hobbies and interests  include antiques, gardens, music, and friendly dogs.
